Return to Christchurch aboad the TranzAlpine Train, one of the top six train journeys in the world. The TranzAlpine Train provides an unforgettable scenic journey across the Southern Alps via the Otira Tunnel and huge viaducts that cross the mighty Waimakariri Gorge, before descending to the Canterbury Plains and on to Christchurch. You will pass through 19 tunnels, four viaducts, river canyons and the dense native forest of the Arthur’s Pass National Park.
