What do children pay for the tours?
Children 5-14 years old receive 50% off the Adult price for day tours. Under 5 years are no charge (if not occupying a seat).
Note: there may be a direct charge to the parents for a service. Example: Child's meal at a restaurant.
What is included in the tour costs?
Guided tours through most places of interest. Tour costs include entrance fees and meals where indicated. Morning and afternoon teas are extra, except for Tour 7R and Tour 25 where morning tea and late afternoon light snacks are included.
What currency are your prices quoted in?
All costs quoted are in NZ dollars and include Goods and Services Tax of 15%.
Is commentary provided on your tours?
English commentary is provided by your driver/guide on points of interest en-route. Multilingual taped commentaries (German, Spanish, Japanese, Mandarin) are available on selected tours. At times, when large numbers of passengers are travelling and an extra coach is provided for the tour, this coach may not feature a multilingual service.
Is smoking allowed on your coaches?
We do not permit smoking onboard our coaches, but regular stops are made.
Are your prices subject to change?
Gray Line wishes to point out to clients that on all tours the right is reserved to alter fares, arrange alternative transport, tour routes, services or accommodation.
Am I personally responsible for theft, loss and injury?
Yes. Gray Line is not responsible for any property loss or damage and / or from any damages resulting in death or personal injury that may arise whilst on tour or when utilising any other service provided by Gray Line agents.
Optional activities such as horse riding, flights, boating and forest walks always have an element of risk and clients should note the above clause.
Gray Line is not held responsible for any loss, injury or damage resulting in any activities beyond its control such as fire, machinery breakdown, civil disturbances, theft or any delays or itinerary changes that may include additional expenses that have been brought about by circumstances beyond the company's control.

Can I get a refund if I don't use my ticket?
Refunds cannot be made for unused tour portions.
A cancellation fee may apply when other operators are involved.
